Sir Peter Blake Silk-Screen Poster
Born in 1932 in Dartford, England. Known as the father of British Pop Art, who may be best known for creating the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album cover in 1967. He was given a knighthood status by the British royalty for his deep contribution to the art scene. Peter's 1961 painting, “Self-Portrait with Badges,” portrayed himself wearing a vintage Levi's® coverall and jeans, and this led to the miraculous birth of the Levi's® Peter Blake Model. This special model is packaged with a personally autographed & serialized silk screen poster, denim coverall and jeans as a symbol of Levi's® strong commitment to the art scene.
1930's Coverall Jacket Peter Blake Special Model
This coverall is a replication model of the jeans jacket Peter wore in his self-portrait, with a newly added back design which was provided by Peter Blake himself. The embroidered signature utilizing red chain stitching exists only through this very special model. A classic coverall that can not be seen in today's models.
1955 501® Peter Blake Special Model
This model is an exact replica of the classic 1955 Vintage 501® , adding the same iconic details which was utilized in the coverall. The denim is being sold with a stitched rolled up hem, identical to the way Peter wore the jeans in his self-portrait poster. A dark & deep blue color is also an appealing part of this denim.
