Each year, corporate giant VIRGIN MOBILE gives a little back by presenting “RE*Generation,” an online auction of underground art benefiting homeless youth charities in the United States. This year’s show, curated by Supertouch ally RICH JACOBS, features great new work by 21 artists including Eric White, Matt Leines, Taylor McKimens, The Clayton Brothers, Jordin Isip, Denise Tassin, Thomas Campbell, and Melinda Beck, that is available for public bidding online until November 1st (7pm PST/10pm EST), the first day of National Youth Homeless Awareness Month. The culmination of the event will be a benefit party held on November 7th at Skylight 275 in NYC, where all auction artwork will be on display and a limited series of Virgin mobile phones painted by the auction artists will be up for grabs. Admission to the party is free, but a minimum $25 charitable donation is requested. Place bids and learn more about the campaign HERE (and don’t forget, charitible art purchases are tax deductible!)… (more…)
