以後、映像、プロダクト・デザイン、WEBプロジェクト、空間デザインなども手掛けている。 "Sensorium"のディレクターとして、世界各地で実験的インスタレーションを行うほか、日本科学未来館のための展示コンセプトデザイン、2002 FIFA World Cupのための演出コンセプトワークなど、「初めてつくるものをつくろう」を合言葉に、ストリートや音楽に根ざしたグラフィックから、トータルなコンセプトデザインまでを往き来しつつ、仕事をしている。 高いところ速いもの好き。 Born in Tokyo and with an education in engineering, Ichiro Higashiizumi engaged in various physical labor works before he ultimately became a graphic designer. Since then, he has worked on films, engaged in product designs, headed web-based projects, coordinated interior designs, among other creative projects. As a Board of Director member of “Sensorium,” Ichiro Higashiizumi conducted an experimental installation project, where he utilized internet technology at multiple overseas locations. He has also worked on a conceptual design for an exhibit at the Japan Science Museum and performed conceptual work for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Under the philosophy of “creating something that no one else has ever created before,” he has continued to engage in street and music rooted graphics to total conceptual design as his life work. 8月21日は想いの深い日です。 60年代当時、エレクトロニクスで音楽ができる、という「新しい考え方」をプロパガンダし、多くの歴史的ミュージシャンからFATHERと呼ばれた男。 Dr. Moog with his creations そんな彼を、2003年、世界デザイン会議での自分のセッションの相手として、イチかバチかで日本にお呼びしました。ル・コルビュジェ、バックミンスター・フラー、イームズ、アーサー・C・クラーク…と並ぶ20世紀のアイコンで、存命で、日本にきていただける可能性があったのは、ロバート・アーサー・モーグしかいませんでした。初めてコンタクトをとり、思いを伝えるのに、4ケ月かかりました。会った日の緊張と、共に過ごした日々のことは今でも忘れません。 今日は一日中、仕事場の「minimoog」に電源を通し、ときどき音を出していました。 初対面直後、顔が引きつって笑おうにも笑えない… moogmovie cover graphic (by higashiizumi) RIP Bob. ——– ↓デザイン会議セッションレポート ↓ご遺族の方々が一年目の命日に立ち上げた、苦しんでいる人々に音楽教育の機会を提供するための基金財団 ↓その他のおもなリンク ——– p.s. |
